SHOU SUGI BAN is one of Japan's traditional wooden materials. After being burned in intense flames and undergoing special treatment, the wood acquires a deep, lacquer-like black finish, pure color, and enhanced durability. Compared to ordinary timber, charred wood not only offers multiple practical benefits such as fire resistance, moisture resistance, decay resistance, and insect repellence, but houses built with it also carry a captivating charcoal-like aroma. However, this traditional technique has its drawbacks, including the tendency of the burnt boards to shed particles and higher long-term maintenance costs. To address these issues, MUMU has introduced the second-generation charred board. It begins with selecting high-quality raw wood, which undergoes modern carbonization treatment to achieve moisture resistance, insect resistance, and reduced warping. Subsequently, texture embossing is applied to give the surface the appearance of traditional grain patterns. Finally, eco-friendly paint is used for coloring and coating. Compared to the traditional method, this approach significantly extends the board's lifespan and greatly reduces long-term maintenance costs.

Q1:How do I need to prepare the wall before I install wall panels?
A:The wall that you plan to install wall panels on needs to be freshly cleaned, free from dust, grease, wax, etc. After
 you've cleaned the wall, be sure that it is dried thoroughly. Acceptable substrates are drywall, plaster or clean, smooth
 tile. Any damaged, loose or uneven areas must be repaired, patched, leveled and primed. Fill cracks and irregularities
 with wallboard compound or spackling, then sand smooth with fine-grade sandpaper. Any porous material like highly
 textured drywall, plywood (or any raw wood without primer), and wallpaper unless removed, sanded and primed, will
 result in adhesive failure.
 
 Q2: When will the goods be delivered?
A: It depends on the product type and order quantity. Usually we can ship within 7-15 days for small orders after receiving full payment. But for large orders, we need about 30 days.
